Good morning roselle

I rarely look in on my roselle plants as they’re good and established now. However, glancing into the garden this morning, my eye was caught by the beauty of a new bloom as the light in the east lit it from behind.

New bloom on the highest part of the stem, backlit by morning sunlight.

I think the roselle makes a mighty nice ornamental plant! Oh wait, it's got edible fruit, too... that gives you a double bonus growing it!

An even closer look shows the pollen just waiting to do its job.

Just think – the roselle flower only blooms in the morning. You’ve got only a few hours to catch it blooming prettily before it’s gone. I’m so glad I caught it today.
